Cam Akers - Moves into backup RB role Akers had six carries for 46 yards and two receptions for seven yards in Sunday's win over the Colts.

Impact Akers played on 16 of the offense's 73 snaps as he essentially got two series in place of starter Aaron Jones (who had 21 carries for 64 yards and four receptions for 18 yards). Ty Chandler didn't play any snaps on offense as it looks like Akers has overtaken him to be the primary backup running back. It looks like Akers will be the running back who gets some work each game to try to keep Jones fresh.

Ty Chandler - No snaps on offense Chandler did not have a carry in Sunday's win over the Colts. He did not play any snaps on offense and played seven snaps on special teams.

Impact Meanwhile Cam Akers had six carries for 46 yards and two receptions for seven yards while playing 16 snaps on offense. It's surprising that Chandler has fallen to third string given how he was used early in the season and without any indications that he was hurt or negative comments from the coaching staff. However, it looks like Chandler will have a minimal role on offense based on Sunday's game with Akers as the backup to Aaron Jones.

Byron Murphy Jr. - Intercepts pass in win Murphy recorded four solo tackles, an interception and a pass breakup in Sunday's 21-13 win over the Colts.

Impact The cornerback also played on all 49 defensive snaps. Murphy has 39 tackles (33 solo), seven passes defensed, three interceptions and a forced fumble in 2024.

Jonathan Greenard - Logs two more sacks in win Greenard recorded 2.0 sacks and a pass defensed in Sunday's 21-13 win over the Colts.

Impact The defensive end now has 23 tackles (17 solo), including 7.0 sacks, on the year. Greenard has also played on more than 60 percent of the defensive snaps in all eight of Minnesota's games this season.

Ivan Pace Jr. - Makes six tackles in win Pace finished with six tackles (three solo) in Sunday's 21-13 win over the Colts.

Impact The inside linebacker also played on 96 percent of the defensive snaps. Pace, an undrafted free agent signing in 2023, recorded 102 tackles (63 solo) as a rookie, and he is keeping up a similar pace in 2024 with 50 stops (28 solo) in the six games he's played in.

Losing DePaola could be a significant blow to Minnesota's special-teams unit, as he had appeared in 59 straight regular-season games and made an All-Pro team each of the last two seasons.

Christian Darrisaw - Undergoes surgery Head coach Kevin O'Connell told reporters that Darrisaw underwent surgery to repair a torn ACL and MCL in his left knee Monday, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports.

Impact Darrisaw will now be able to begin the recovery process after tearing his left ACL and MCL in the Vikings' Week 9 loss to the Rams. While Darrisaw remains sidelined for the remainder of the season, David Quessenberry is expected to continue serving as Minnesota's top left tackle.
